Nashville (Davidson County) is the capital of Tennessee and is sometimes called the "Country Music Capital of the World" or more often "Music City". However, in recent years, Nashville has done much to escape its country music image and become a regional center of culture and commerce. While visitors may continue to enjoy shows at the Grand Ole Opry and see the Country Music Hall of Fame, Nashville boasts a diverse culture of music, arts, and sports.
